Letter From The Chair

This year we will endeavour to enhance initiatives to bolster membership both in the US as well as Internationally.  We will capitalise on the excellent work done by past chairs the most notable of which are the design of our new website and the reorganisation of our website library.  Our library is the repository of industry knowledge and information and has the potential to become one of the leading resources for hospitality industry information.  Our aim is to enhance value to both our members and clients as a preeminent hospitality consulting organization in the world.

The ISHC is a professional society comprising 200 of the leading hospitality consultants in the world. Membership is by invitation only and candidates must be nominated by a member in good standing, have the endorsement of three active members, be recommended for membership by the Board of Directors, and be voted in by the membership at large. The rigorous membership process ensures that consultants are highly qualified in their area of specialty and member clients receive the finest advice and services available in the marketplace.

Our members work individually and as collaborating teams to provide a range of services from basic consulting, market studies, appraisals to complex developments, highly specialized technical hotel services and strategy design and formulation for Tourist Authorities. Whether your needs are large or small, the ISHC can provide a comprehensive solution.

In addition to providing an industry standard of quality for its membership, ISHC is proud to have on-going strategic relationships with the AH&LA, and similar orgnisations of other countries, the Hotel Sales & Marketing International, the Hotel Asset Managers Association (HAMA), the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research, and several other professional organizations. Our members actively participate in every significant industry event and conference, and have active contribution to media with specialist articles.

Other industry support includes the ISHC Pioneer Award, The Young Leaders Award, the Speakers Bureau, ISHC Scholarship program, and individual member research and publishing.

Our aim is to enhance value to both our members and clients whom we sincerely thank for this opportunity.
